How It Works

We create campaigns for specific residential areas. Business owners simply choose which current campaign they want to participate in, select their ad size, and send us their basic information.

That usually includes a logo, website address, phone number, QR code, image, and the offer they want to promote.

From there, we design the ad, send it to you for approval, make any needed adjustments, collect payment, print the cards, and handle the mailing.

You do not have to figure out design, printing, mailing rules, USPS paperwork, route selection, or campaign setup. We take care of it.

The TOP Connection brings local businesses together, typically 16 per campaign, on oversized 9” x 12” community postcard mailers delivered directly to residential mailboxes in carefully selected neighborhoods.

We focus on campaign areas that make sense for home service companies, local businesses, and community based offers. These areas are chosen because they often include strong homeowner presence, above average income levels, and neighborhoods where local services are already in demand. Many of the areas we select have median household incomes ranging from approximately $50,000 to $200,000.

The TOP Connection was created by Adam Schmidt, a longtime Ocala business owner and entrepreneur.

Adam has been self-employed for 43 years and has built multiple businesses over the decades, including three photography studios, a wood props business for photographers, a sign company, a mailing list service, a members only website to educate photographers, consulting services, and website design. His own businesses have mailed around one million direct mail pieces, and he credits direct mail as one of the biggest factors in his business success.

After decades of using direct mail for his own companies, Adam created The TOP Connection to help other local businesses get the same kind of visibility without the high cost, hassle, or confusion of doing it alone.

Adam has lived in Ocala for over 20 years and also owns The Outside Perspective Consulting, aka TOP Consulting and 499site.com, a website company that builds professional small business websites for just $499.

His approach is simple: charge a fair price, do excellent work, and help other business owners grow. As Adam likes to joke, some companies seem like they want to retire from just one sale. That is not how The TOP Connection operates.

The goal is to make high quality local advertising affordable, easy, and effective for business owners who want to reach more people in the communities they serve.
